چکیده

Abstract Collective memories are shared by a group that influence their social identity. The goal of this paper is to focus on two major limitations in current studies collective memory and show how the hourglass metaphor can overcome those limitations. first limitation concerns partial nature devoted analysis memory. Studies tend either choice past (how agents mobilise past) or weight affects individual group). second relates temporal dimension research conducted so far. Most only assess over single generation, yet it have long-term effects. In paper, we suggest considering work as an hourglass, with at opposite ends sand passing from one other, filtered through family values representations. thus provides helpful tool explain formation time interactions between macro, meso, micro levels. We approach study interdisciplinary perspective, mainly involving psychology, political science, history. conclude suggesting three challenges future will need address: (1) combine multiple approaches; (2) consider role generations; (3) bridge discussion across disciplines.

Tumour cells employ a variety of mechanisms to invade their environment and to form metastases. An important property is the ability of tumour cells to transition between individual cell invasive mode and collective mode. The switch from collective to individual cell invasion in the breast was shown recently to determine site of subsequent metastasis. Previous studies have suggested a range of ...

I investigate the collective memory performance in a recognition memory task in which each individual in a group independently retrieves memories related to the same study items. For each test item in the recognition memory task, the aggregated memory judgment is based on the average of confidence ratings across individuals. Using a Bayesian Signal Detection Theory (SDT) analysis of the confide...
